It is possible that the taste you notice is from the minerals themselves or from magnesium. We regret that you do not like the taste of the water and the product does not suit you. The problem is not the material, but the additives that are added to this plastic, which depends on each bottle, each brand... Our filters are composed solely of natural products: 100% natural coconut charcoal and magnesium. The coconut charcoal is imported directly from Mexico, and we do not alter the nature of the material. Due to its state or even due to the transportation of the material, the charcoal may be more broken and crumbled and release carbon specks to a greater extent, and even stain the water black. Other times, if its state is more compact, it releases less, but it is normal for it to always release black specks due to what we mentioned, because it is an ecological product without any type of chemical treatment.
