The product seems good, but the logistics/shipping are really shameful. The bash plate arrived in a box without any padding. All edges perfurated the cardbox and obviously the bash plate arrived with minor damage. Completely careless shipping preparation and disappointing to anyone receiving something like this.

If I was just reviewing the skid plate it would be a solid five star. Fitment, instructions and installation went smoothly and it is robust and protects what it should. The reason for the 4 stars is it showed in stock when I ordered and did not ship for two weeks and then coming from CZ and being delayed in U.S. customs made the whole process a one month ordeal. Just know this and be more patient than I and you will be rewarded with a light, strong and capable skid plate.

Missing part in the packaging. Had to order it from AXP and a 9.60 dollar part ended up being almost 70 with shipping and fees. I was told to "contact" the dealer as it was on them. No it's not...it was a damn missing part of the skid plate and I had to purchase it, while the damn skid plate was already over 350 dollars. The skid plate doesn't even fit correctly on my 890 ADV R. I had to cut a piece out for the left side fuel petcock housing. Straight garbage.

Ich bin mit dem Artikel sehr zufrieden. Der Unterfahrschutz passt gut und die Anleitung auf Youtube sind gut gemacht. Auch die Versanddauer ist gut. Very decent skid plate, but difficult to mount. I have serious doubts that the screws which attach the skid plate to the mounting bar will survive a few mount/unmounts for cleaning or cooling liquid replacement. I will go back to an Acerbis skid plate and Acerbis engine protection.

Hello, The delivery time was a bit long, my order had been forgotten. Fortunately, I was able to get a representative on the phone very quickly who launched the order. Regarding the product itself: very good. However, at the assembly level, a screw was too short on the right side and I had to cut 4mm of the crash bar on the right side as well. After calling customer service with an immediate response (well done), I received confirmation that this cut was indeed necessary.

This is my 3rd or 4th AXP skid plate and I’m satisfied with their products overall. I had to sand down the rear mount to make the OEM centre stand work but not a big deal really. The mounting system is highly superior to any other skid plate. I continue to recommend AXP.

Ordered a 701 skid slate. The item send has bolt holes that do not align. It’s not even close. Really poor quality control. I am now trying to get this resolved, but can only communicate through their website which is taking days between responses. When I do get a response, they ask for photos which I have already sent to them. I am having a very very frustrating experience so far, and so would not recommend using this company.

I ordered a skid plate for a 2026 Suzuki DRZ4S with the rear shock protector. I don’t like 2 things about it… 1 - no hole to drain oil, why not have access to the drain plug vs having to remove the skid plate every time I change oil. 2 - the shock protector hits the shock every time weight is off the bike, so if I ride through a choppy area it makes a horrible rattling/banging.

The hole for the oil change is not listed as a criterion in the product description, so we consider that there should be no surprise regarding this point.
Regarding the linkage protection, the skid plate is designed so that it does not come into contact with the linkage when the bike is in a static, unloaded position. Contact during the suspension’s extension is unavoidable and, to date, has not caused any issues. However, if you notice that the skid plate touches the linkage in a neutral position, please feel free to send us photos at [email protected] so we can analyze the issue.

Should have bought through a distributor. Major problems with shipping, and ZERO response to multiple emails and phone calls. Good product, terrible service. In the end, with no communication from AXP, and total rubbish from their shipping partner, I bought another elsewhere, that worked out cheaper.
