Good news! What you describe has an immediate solution. Some of our glasses are delivered with a protective film applied during manufacturing, and if they appear opaque or frosted, it is likely that this film has not yet been removed.

Regarding the thinness: our lenses are intentionally thinner than the original lenses. They are made of TAC (Tri-Acetate of Cellulose), a polarizing material chosen for its lightness, optical clarity, and flexibility, without prism distortion.
This is not a manufacturing defect; it is a deliberate technical choice.

Regarding the Ray-Ban logo: its absence is normal, and it is even a guarantee of seriousness. We manufacture compatible lenses, not official Ray-Ban lenses. Placing their logo on our lenses would be counterfeiting, which we obviously prohibit.

It is quite possible that your original lenses were category 4: this is the darkest tint, but it is actually not recommended for driving as it reduces visibility too much. We chose to offer slightly less tinted lenses, category 3, which provide strong protection while remaining suitable for the vast majority of uses, including driving.

Regarding polarization, allow us a small technical clarification: a lens is either polarized or non-polarized — there is no such thing as "partial polarization" or "poor quality". To verify this, you can perform a very simple test with an LCD screen (like that of a smartphone or computer, for example):

Hold the lens in front of the screen.

Turn it gently on itself.

If the brightness changes significantly at certain angles, the lens is indeed polarized.

As for sun protection, our lenses are all category 3, which corresponds to the category recommended in most high brightness situations (summer, beach, mountains, daytime driving, normal outdoor activities).
Category 4 lenses, which are darker, are only recommended in extreme cases of very intense glare (high altitude skiing, desert, etc.).
