Indeed, our lenses are not made of mineral glass but of Tri-Acetate Cellulose (TAC), a polarizing polymer material. This is a technical choice on our part, and it is now the standard used by the vast majority of sunglasses manufacturers, including on high-end original models.

TAC offers several concrete advantages over mineral glass: effective polarization against glare, great lightness for comfortable wear, excellent optical clarity without prismatic distortion, shape memory, and above all, much better shock resistance.
