To replace a casing or a sleeve in good conditions, the 'fabric' to which the sleeve or casing is attached must be in very good condition. However, when one wants to replace a casing or a sleeve, it is generally because it has partially torn off and therefore this part, the part of the fabric to which it was attached, is damaged. But in this case, the replacement does not really solve the problem.

In the case where the fabric is damaged, we advise you to reduce your mesh by removing one or two teeth from the bottom of your zipper in order to start from a clean base where the casing and its sleeve can be properly fixed.

During my first order, following the instructions, I carefully measured the width of the zipper to be repaired - 5mm - and ordered the recommended slider - 3B - but upon delivery it turned out to be too small. I then ordered the one size up, 5B, normally intended for zippers around 6mm and it fits perfectly to my 5mm wide zipper. Perhaps the measuring instructions should be modified. I did see the warning 3B/5B but did not think I would be concerned having - I think - correctly measured my zipper at the starting point.
