Regarding the point in the slider, it is a brake. It ensures that when the closure is closed, it does not open again since the slider will block it with this brake. If you lower the slider tab, the point will disappear and will no longer bother you.
If your item has broken, we also invite you to contact customer service by email. The sliders are made of zinc alloy, which makes them much stronger than the original sliders of the closure; if it broke during installation, that is not normal.
