The anti cyano products were effective twice, 1 year ago and 5 months ago. This time, not effective. Our cyanos are becoming resistant to your bacteria. What to do? Blackout? I continue to use bactofresh and micro macro life. I put a little oxygenated water; the cyanos have almost disappeared but they will reappear. This is a freshwater aquarium.

Specialists so good advice. The rocks are well in place, the bacteria too ... my nitrates are disappearing . After 1 month of treatment, I don't see any micro fauna but it may come.

Total failure. No daphnia survived. I do not question the quality of these products, I may have been wrong about the aclimation. I suggest an instruction manual for users, especially novices

Indeed the cyanos are quickly neutralized. Attention to the causes: cyanos had returned in my tank, hypotheses: Elevation Temperatures approx 26° unfavourable meteo episode and feeding of the corals with red sea reef energy quantity according to recommendation but given in the morning at 9 am, it is certainly not the good hour, 9 pm would be more judicious. Pay attention to the calcium level after "purging" the cyanos, the latter being big consumers, I had a 650mg surge!

I followed the protocol to the letter, and no trace of life after more than 3 weeks, even with a magnifying glass. With 30 years of aquaristics I confirm that nothing is better than live stones to seed the aquarium.

Hello Pierre-Yves, first of all thank you for your feedback.
3 weeks is much too early to see microfauna, depending on the size of the tank it can take up to 3 months. Then the live rocks we can't find any more, the import is forbidden since 4 years and it's far from being a panacea because you can get covered with pests and many have stopped marine aquarium because of these same pests. Follow our protocol as defined on our blog "How to start a reef aquarium" and you will see that everything will go well (the protocol has been followed more than 20,000 times without any problems).

I ordered the anti-cyano kit. Certainly it is an expensive product but it is effective, visible effect after three days. Nothing more after 5 days of treatment. No damage on corals and fish. I recommend it.

On our Marcorocks, for example, it appears more quickly than on stones that are older or second hand.
