I strongly invite you to discover this Grand Cru vanilla worked in the old way by my teams. Pods at full maturity, a fireworks display of aromatic amplitude! A higher dry matter content, a reduced humidity level, allowing for all the aromatic precision of my harvest. It is from my beginnings on the beaches of Sainte Anne (Guadeloupe). The weight of a pod does not determine its quality. You weigh as a professional a water content. At our level, in the importation of vanilla, after years in the industry, here are the most important points: - Vanillin content (main molecule for purely vanilla notes) - Associated aromatic amplitude On this batch: Main Notes: Vanilla, Red Fruits (Raspberries, Currants), Forest Fruits (Blackberries, Blueberries) Heart Notes: Slightly woody, Very candied. - Harvest period - Aging of the batch, respect for the specifications specific to each importer (here, long traditional aging as in the past). - Nutrients from the soil from which the pods come, indigenous terroir, type of cultivation (shade, agroforestry, intensive...) - Final result in the creations of our chef and individual clients. Finally, the vanilla that the industry buys to create vanilla extract is only split or unsplit vanilla extraction. Like us, it focuses on the quality of the batch and not on the visual. The only downside in this order, as already mentioned during it: you announce free shipping from €69.00, the order exceeded €130.00... and I did not have the possibility to confirm and pay to remove these shipping costs... too bad, it leaves a taste of 'not quite correct'.

You are right, the pods received are a bit dry but they are Bourbon Rouge vanilla from Madagascar and that is one of its distinctive signs ;-) The moisture content is lower, the vanillin content is higher (vanilla notes) and the notes of red fruits stand out well. Unreliable site, poor quality product, non-existent customer service despite several calls at different times over 3 weeks following a taste defect on the bourbon vanilla. They are acting in bad faith, not commercial or accommodating! Blocks customer accounts when complaints are made and it's illegal. I STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST this site

We do not accept unfounded requests explaining by phone and by email that our vanilla is not up to your creations. You received your pods and made a request 3 months after receipt.
The same batch that you received is used in prestigious establishments run by people you see on television or have seen in Chef magazines.
We have also received your report to the DGCCRF to which we responded on Saturday morning with our analyses and other supports.
After more than 10 received emails, more than 4 hours working on your threats, reports, nuisance calls from hidden numbers, etc.... we have blocked your account.
Why? Are you still asking yourself the question?
It's simple, I do my best for my clients more than 14 hours a day. When I come across people like you (this doesn't happen often), I don't want to keep them by my side.
Best regards is not the word: Fair Winds is more appropriate!
