I just looked at the tracking of your order and the photos of the vanilla sent.
The pods are mostly 17cm, the pods are beautiful and fleshy.
The moisture content of a vanilla pod is not an indicator of quality (32% for your vanilla). The vanillin content, the aromatic amplitude, the result in pastry is the most important.
If I show you the same vanilla, the same batch at 36%, do you think the quality will be better?
Your resulting vanillin content will be lower as it correlates with moisture/vanillin/batch.

Hello Sophie, Your initial order has been refunded. The order you received and that I GAVE you represents an amount of €166 while yours was €37.36 ;-) The ordered spices were not there but instead of 10 Bourbon Gold vanilla pods from Madagascar, you received, for example, 40. To minimize the risks of contagion and barrier gestures, this seemed to me to be the best solution. At the same time, to avoid making this mistake again, a new verification framework for my orders has been put in place. It is now impossible for this error to happen again. Remember to rate after a few months and not at reception. Just over 2 months after my order, my pods are starting to mold! They are perfectly preserved in perfectly sterilized glass tubes! As I have always done, I have pods from other sellers from 2016 still in perfect condition. After contacting the seller, he tells me it's my fault for not following his preservation advice! He gives me a link to his site where his preservation advice is either freezing (!!) or preserving in alcohol... You can verify it yourself!!! He himself does not trust the quality of his vanilla!
