You purchased Bourbon Gold XXL vanilla pods and Madagascar Bourbon Red / 'Gold Medal' vanilla.
Each sheet precisely describes each quality. If a moist vanilla is for you a quality vanilla, I can do nothing more.
Should I practice selling pods with 40% humidity and you tell me it's beautiful and qualitative?
More seriously, reread my explanations and do not rely on appearances. My Bourbon Red vanillas are the most acclaimed by my top chefs. The habit does not make the monk, it is also true for vanilla.

I am unfortunately very disappointed with the quality of the vanilla pods:
- which are very dry and must therefore be soaked in hot water to be split in two,
- which are very small in width, forcing the use of a whole pod when usually half is enough,
- which are very little fragrant,
- the product is not worth more than the amount charged.
In summary, the experience was not conclusive.
