Hello Jeanne Marie,
The texture of this vanilla is well specified in the product description, where all the information is provided before purchase. It is indeed a drier vanilla, which may explain your feeling. However, we are pleased that the rest of your order has satisfied you.

I am very satisfied with my purchase, having all this vanilla at this price is incredible, considering the price of a vanilla pod in stores.
