The combava is very good. However, the powdered lemongrass has no taste and no scent.

The products are of very good quality. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed that the two main products I wanted to order were suddenly no longer available. In these circumstances, I would have preferred to cancel the entire order or add similar products. Unfortunately, I was only informed after the package was shipped. For the missing products, I was refunded quickly but now I still do not have the products I wanted and will have to pay for shipping again. I was very disappointed. It would be better to inform people before shipping an incomplete order!

On the December order, it is clearly stated on the package to "take the pods out of the sachet and put them in a base of alcohol". It was about fresh vanilla from the last harvest and it is essential to follow this advice to preserve them.

Hello Nicolas, We conduct competitive monitoring every week. We are not here to sell low-end products at low prices. At the same time, you compare wholesale formats on sale during promotions at -80% from last year on certain short dates and 25g formats... You could also highlight the many price drops compared to your last two orders. They are more numerous than our increases! Finally, I work 7 days a week to ensure my customers benefit from a tailored service like this response 26 minutes after your review. I do not count the gifts, the offers with free shipping that you benefited from, etc. Just one question: Why did you order again and then break sugar on our back? Best regards, David.

I bought red vanilla on sale and I think I know why it was cheaper: it was not very fresh, probably from last year's harvest and has been in a vacuum envelope since (much less good preservation than in rum). It breaks easily, and has little powder and therefore little taste even when infused for a long time. That said, at this price, it's understandable. On my next order, I will check the harvest date from the country in question and will order just after. I will leave a more favorable review if this future attempt is successful. The other spices are good, but be careful with the toxic Tonka bean quite quickly, it deserves to be specified!!
Translated reviews
Response from DavidVanille.com – Spice Hunter
Hello Jean, This is not a harvest issue as it comes from the last harvest. Red vanilla is a drier vanilla with a higher vanillin content per kg. That is why perfumers, flavorists, and the industry only buy this quality from us. The quality/price ratio is simply ridiculous. For the same size, the pods have as many seeds as in a wetter vanilla. Only the moisture content changes on this criterion. I understand your concern regarding the tonka bean and its potential toxicity. Allow me to explain the situation in detail to reassure you. The tonka bean, also known as tonka bean, originates from South America and has been used for centuries in cooking and baking for its unique and intoxicating aroma. However, it is true that the tonka bean contains a substance called coumarin, which can be toxic in high doses. Coumarin is naturally found in many foods and plants, including cinnamon, celery, and certain herbs. It can be harmful to the liver when consumed in excessive amounts over a long period. However, it is important to note that the toxicity of coumarin depends on the dose ingested and the frequency of consumption. In the case of the tonka bean, the amount of coumarin present is relatively low and is generally used in small quantities to flavor culinary preparations. Most recipes recommend using a small portion of grated or infused tonka bean to achieve its distinctive aroma. When used responsibly and moderately, the tonka bean does not pose significant health risks. In general, a small amount of tonka bean is sufficient to flavor an entire preparation. It is also worth noting that some food regulations, depending on the countries, may limit or regulate the use of tonka bean due to its coumarin content. In summary, yes, the tonka bean contains coumarin, which can be toxic in high doses. However, when the tonka bean is used in moderation, according to recommendations and suggested quantities in recipes, health risks are minimal. It is always advisable to consult a healthcare professional or culinary expert if you have specific concerns or additional questions about using tonka bean. Not all pods are equal, some are really too thin and too dry. The price is correct compared to the quality.
