Hello, I ordered about ten pods, apart from two or three nice pods, the others are mediocre, not fleshy, flat, rather disappointed, I will not order again.
Translated reviews
Response from DavidVanille.com – Spice Hunter
Hello,
I just looked at the tracking of your order and the photos of the vanilla sent.
The pods are mostly 17cm, the pods are beautiful and fleshy.
The moisture content of a vanilla pod is not an indicator of quality (32% for your vanilla). The vanillin content, the aromatic amplitude, the result in pastry is the most important.
If I show you the same vanilla, the same batch at 36%, do you think the quality will be better?
Your resulting vanillin content will be lower as it correlates with moisture/vanillin/batch.
Best regards,
A

Satisfied with my order, fast delivery, careful with tracking. The vanillas look great. The gifts offered (spices, cotton bag) are very nice. One point to change: the packaging for each of the spices, an alternative to plastic is surely possible.

I take away one star because I haven't tested the pods yet. The only downside I can see does not come from the quality of the products but from the delivery. The package arrived completely smashed. So it was redone by the post office. The products being well packaged, it had no impact. Fortunately, because it remains food.

The site is quite well done, accessible and detailed. Unfortunately, I cannot give my opinion on the ordered items since I did not receive the correct order, but a significant commercial gesture was made. I am therefore testing other products of which I am fully satisfied for the moment. Quality products properly packaged. During the coronavirus period, customer service was efficient.

Hello Sophie, Your initial order has been refunded. The order you received and that I GAVE you represents an amount of €166 while yours was €37.36 ;-) The ordered spices were not there but instead of 10 Bourbon Gold vanilla pods from Madagascar, you received, for example, 40. To minimize the risks of contagion and barrier gestures, this seemed to me to be the best solution. At the same time, to avoid making this mistake again, a new verification framework for my orders has been put in place. It is now impossible for this error to happen again. I sincerely thought my approach deserved a 5/5. Have a good week, Best regards, David

Very satisfied with this first order, I will reorder without hesitation. Package received within 2 days and well packaged, very satisfied on this point. I used the first pods to make vanilla ice cream, there was a nice vanilla scent upon opening the bag and the result, the ice cream was sufficiently flavored. I might take the larger size for the next order.
