either I got a bad batch unfortunately this can happen but the vanilla pods were dry almost brittle .. For a first purchase, I can't say that I am satisfied, rather disappointed!

Hello Gilles, As I replied to you by email, my selections have a rare intensity thanks to a long aging. We can always do a simple demonstration. Take 1 kg of extraction vanilla (Papua extraction type or Bourbon Gold aged) and the same quality in development at 35% humidity (which is 50% fewer pods per kg but much larger because more humid). Ask your client for the best. The preference will always go for the extraction vanilla not yet fully aged. Should I sell a more humid vanilla to my clients, highlight a softer price per kg and offer it as black vanilla? Of course not. It is difficult to explain that a well-humid and large vanilla is not necessarily a guarantee of quality. Too often, vanillas sold as black vanillas are vanillas that lack aging with a humidity rate that decreases in a few days. Currently, the kg of vanilla is negotiated around $600-700. To guarantee you aged vanillas in the long term, David Vanilla will focus on purchasing extraction vanilla as in the photo. Extraction vanilla, pods much drier than black vanilla, an intense nose. Today, what was previously despised by the market is part of the noblest lots. Obviously, there are many more pods in a kilo of extraction vanilla than in a kilo of so-called black vanilla. This will allow me to maintain an attractive pod/price ratio for my loyal private and professional clients. Very beautiful products (gold vanilla), with a gift (pepper), very fast shipping... unfortunately, I didn't have the choice of delivery and I was forced to take GLS whose agency I depend on is lax and incompetent, given many unfortunate experiences. Result, a postponement of the delivery date then no news on the scheduled day and delivered the next day... so excellent products served by a disastrous delivery. For the Bourbon Gold vanilla 10-12cm, the pods are of small caliber but the customer has the choice between Bourbon Gold vanilla 10-12cm to have a significant pod ratio, Bourbon Gold vanilla +13cm, and Bourbon Gold vanilla aged 14-18cm. The longer the vanilla, the better its quality and the fewer pods there are.
