Delivery on December 1, 2023, everything is perfect as always except for a packet of genmaicha tea with a best before date of 31/12/2023. Even if it's 'preferably before', it's a gift for Christmas and it's a bit awkward. The person who will receive it might think I've had this at home for ages... In any case, I think this product has been in stock for some time at David Vanille, (all other products have dates ranging from December 2024 to December 2026...) I hope this is an error and that it won't happen again because the products received so far have always been of excellent quality.

Hello, There are several corrections to be made to your review. Cheaper? I have traveled a lot and if I have learned one thing, it is that cheap costs dear. Find better - Mediocre quality? We are not resellers of low-priced packets, we do not put flour in our blends. There are only certain neighborhoods (previous modified review) where you can find cheaper, look on Google if finding 'cheap' is child's play. Sourcing: We work with more than a dozen countries, it is our job, not an importer of speculative tonnage that we store for years to end up in small 'cheap' packets. Mediocre product quality: We work with the latest harvests. It is almost impossible nowadays to find similar freshness and a team of enthusiasts who select as close to the plantations with all the logistics and associated costs that this entails. Very interesting prices, especially on vanillas, but regarding what I ordered, the aromatic is much less powerful than a 'standard' vanilla found in supermarkets, you should know that. Also, the infusion time differs on the label and on the site, I was surprised the first time with my tea which was undrinkable. A bit disappointed also with the smoked pepper. However, delivery was very fast and careful!

The site is ergonomic, it is pleasant to navigate and very nice to find advice and recipes. If I have a complaint, it is the lack of transparency. Among the mixed spices (curry, marinade or barbecue mixes...) the composition is sometimes very vague 'spices'. It's a shame, especially for allergic people who need to be careful.

The tea packaging is not practical at all. Previously, the bags were resealable, now an order of 100g of tea is dispatched in 4 bags that cannot be preserved once opened. The vanilla has no taste, I am very disappointed, I don't think I will order again.

The products are of very good quality. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed that the two main products I wanted to order were suddenly no longer available. In these circumstances, I would have preferred to cancel the entire order or add similar products. Unfortunately, I was only informed after the package was shipped. I unfortunately have to give these 2 stars, nothing to say about the site for the perfect order, however I never received my package, it was in transit through France to arrive in Belgium to be sent back to the sender without passing by my place... I bought red vanilla on sale and I think I know why it was cheaper: it was not very fresh, probably from last year's harvest and has been in a vacuum envelope since (much less good preservation than in rum). It breaks easily, and has little powder and therefore little taste even when infused for a long time. That said, at this price, it's understandable. On my next order, I will check the harvest date from the country in question and will order just after. I will leave a more favorable review if this future attempt is successful. The other spices are good, but be careful with the toxic Tonka bean quite quickly, it deserves to be specified!!

That is why perfumers, flavorists, and the industry only buy this quality from us. The quality/price ratio is simply ridiculous. For the same size, the pods have as many seeds as in a wetter vanilla. Disappointed with the vanilla pods that arrived moldy in the packaging. The customer service response was to put them in alcohol as soon as we receive them. This response does not satisfy me for several reasons: the pods arrived moldy upon receipt, I even sent a photo. So it is not the fact that I did not put them in alcohol that caused them to mold. I do not consume alcohol and I do not have any at home, I often order vanilla pods that I do not keep in alcohol and yet there is no problem. I give 2 stars because their sugar and spices are good but I will not order pods from them again. They offer very attractive prices on vanilla but I prefer to pay more and have good pods.

Nice and the price is attractive, but the wild pepper from Madagascar that I bought smells good but has no taste, whereas I am from Reunion and I eat it often and it has a pronounced taste, I am a bit disappointed and I haven't had time to taste all the things from my order yet, we'll see.

I received the order very quickly, well-filled vanilla, fatty while it is announced dry. Nice pod but however without taste, I have tried to extract the grains, infuse the pod, blend it into powder, but even using 3 pods, the flavor of the vanilla is only very slightly present. Basically, the pod is well filled but without any flavor or smell. They are starting to frost, as indicated on the site but still no taste. Well, apart from that the almond powder is good and the spices are strong. But I am still dissatisfied with the vanilla pods.
