I tried and ordered pipes with a 9 mm filter and I am a bit disappointed compared to pipes with metal filters. I feel like I'm smoking a pierced cigar. We'll have to see over time.

On average (this depends on the size of the bowls), it is advisable to renew it every 2 or 3 pipes. Nothing to say about the Pipe Rit, I have been ordering from them for a few years now!
I received my Half pipe, magnificent with this double color. Good grip and pleasant to smoke. Small downside, the stem, hard to disassemble, I think it will get easier over time.

Hello, thank you very much for your loyalty for several years! To respond to your last comment regarding your "half" pipe, we recommend lubricating the tenon a bit (that is, the part that fits into the shank). For this, you can use solid soap (like Marseille soap). Rub the soap on the entire tenon and assemble/disassemble the stem several times (always turning it in the same direction, as if it were screwed into the shank). By doing this, the stem will fit much more easily into its housing.

Well, I generally find that pipes are expensive.
The one I received is a very good item, with a deep, wide, and thick bowl. A beautiful and good pipe.
Following another customer's review, I also believe that this pipe does not allow for a very good grip between the teeth. The end of the stem should be flat and not slightly rounded.
Finally, while I found the wood of the bowl very beautiful with nice grains, I wondered about this wood. Is it really briar? It would be advisable for the manufacturer to mention "genuine briar".
In summary, essentially, a very satisfactory item.
