The SaintClaude pipeshop is amazing. It show the roots of the briar wood pipe making's history and you can find it in the quality of their smoking pipes offer. The Chacom, Eole and the other brands from Saint Claude are really great and I am proud and happy to recommend them fully. BTW, since I am lover of English type of pipe tobacco I have been naturally focused on the English pipe tobacco producers. Theyare great, no doubt. But wow, the Chacom English type tobacco is great, too. Not to mention the Chacom aromatic pipe tobacco, which gorgious, too.

The role of the filter is to absorb a large part of the impurities from the tobacco when you smoke. Depending on your preferences, you can definitely smoke with or without this filter.
