Why do the straps have a sort of transverse lace near the clips? I haven't found a use for them. Apart from that, everything's fine.

Good product and fast delivery. The only problem I have is that the clamps are made of stainless steel. I've already broken a clamp while trying to adjust one of them after changing pants.
