The Multimalin method derives its effectiveness from innovative memorization strategies as well as elements that reduce the number of multiplications to memorize.
That is why the table of 2 is not included in the multiplication tables because it has already been memorized in the addition tables. For example:
2x4 = 4+4 = 8.
In the same way, MultiMalin relies on the principle of commutativity to also reduce the number of multiplications to memorize.
Indeed, for example 7x9 = 9x7 so if the multiplication appears as 9x7 the children then put the smallest number first to make it 7x9. By proceeding this way with all multiplications, we thus reduce the number of multiplications to memorize by half.
