Best purchase we ever made for our baby !!! Indispensable! Thanks to nanny care, our baby has been sleeping in her own bed and room since she was 3 weeks old. Peace of mind at night is priceless! Mixed opinion for the moment (tested without baby as he is not yet born). The breathing sensor is sensitive but can be TOO sensitive. We tested it by pressing our finger on the mattress, and when we stopped pressing we expected the alarm to go off, but the flashing green light kept indicating a breathing movement and the alarm didn't go off. Finally, after a few moments, we realized that it was the open window that was letting some air into the room, and the air on the sheet was enough for the sensor to detect breathing... so if baby wasn't breathing but the window was open, the alarm didn't go off. As a result, I imagine that in cododo, the sensor must take the slightest movement from the parent next to it to mean that baby is breathing.
I made the purchase to reassure myself and allow me to sleep soundly, but in the end I wouldn't trust it that much :/.

Hello Manon, Thank you very much for your detailed feedback on the product. We appreciate that you took the time to share your observations, even before the arrival of your baby. The Nanny is a precision monitor certified as a "CE medical device Class IIB" and clinically validated. Its installation must follow a few simple rules specified in the installation instructions. You can see the movements the Nanny detects by looking at the alarm box (Nanny on, without baby in bed), which will help you identify the cause and remove it (imperative) when the Nanny is monitoring baby: a green light comes on each time movement is detected. If the Nanny doesn't go off, it must be detecting other movements in the room (your heartbeat, a draught, a cell phone, etc.). The first thing to do is to make sure it's really your movements that are being detected. Leave the room and wait to see if the Nanny rings. If it goes off, it's working properly. If it doesn't, it's picking up something else. You can check the Nanny's operation and verify that it is detecting and triggering properly by changing its environment: for example, put it on the living room table (without any vibration/disturbance around it, of course), move away and see if it rings (this will confirm local disturbance in the room). In this case, you'll need to find the element that might be generating vibrations near the crib (a spinning musical mobile, a fan, a fan heater, a rocking chair, a draught...) and remove it. On the other hand, the Nanny can be used with a co-sleeping cradle, but only when it is not in the co-sleeping version against the parents' bed, otherwise it will pick up the vibrations made by the parents and, in the event of a problem, will not be triggered. If the cradle is sufficiently far from the parents' bed (at least 50cm) when baby is under the Nanny's supervision with the cradle in the fixed version (no rocking), and not inclined, the Nanny should be placed on the bed base (on a wooden plate) under the baby mattress; there is no minimum thickness required for the baby mattress (just a maximum of 12cm).
