Speed and simple communication with the Plantin team. However, Chronofresh put my package in the mailbox of the Chateau where we were staying, and it took us 2 days to find it because "they didn't have proof of delivery and then no one knew where the package was," despite having called twice, they assured me that it was impossible for it to be in the mailbox, as the "fresh" package must be delivered "in person"; luckily, we eventually found the package, but the ChronoFresh service is really annoying. I had 20 people available on site ready to receive it, but they decided to ignore my clear instructions to "Call upon arrival."

Although this is the 3rd or 4th time I've ordered fresh truffles from Plantin in February, I found the quality of this shipment really inadequate, even mediocre, as if the truffles weren't ripe. They were almost odorless with very little flavor. Really disappointing.

I've already ordered truffles several times online and this time I'm very disappointed, especially as I'd opted for the EXTRA quality. The smell was fine, but the taste was very disappointing considering the price. And the packaging wasn't exceptional either. For the same price or even less, I can find it in shops in Belgium. DON'T FORGET YOUR TYPE OF PRODUCT.

The term "extra" simply refers to the visual aspect of the truffle, which must be round and regular enough to be defined as an extra quality truffle. In no way does this affect the taste and fragrance of the fresh truffle. Packaging is the most conventional for fresh truffles. It's all about keeping the product, which is perishable, in suitable packaging for transport, nothing more. Indeed, canned truffles are a product that requires very special attention, whether in terms of the proportion used in a dish or its cooking. A minimum of 10-15g of canned truffle per person is required, and a minimum of 10% for a preparation (butter, sauce, etc.). The package arrived but, contrary to the very clear instructions about the recipient, it was delivered to a person in the apartment building where I live, NOT designated by me as recipient or substitute ! I remember that there is privacy ! But the worst thing is that the person to whom my order was left, delivered it to my partner, thus ruining my surprise for Christmas! A total disaster! As for the condition of the contents, I still don't know, because the package will be opened on Christmas Day...at least that!!!
