Everything was well packaged and received in perfect condition. The sour punch bites were not sour at all but I think it was a bad batch as I've had this product in the USA.

This probably concerns a Chinese Pocky, where the date displayed is that of manufacture and not that of consumption.
This is clearly indicated on products from China, unlike other Asian products such as Japan. China indicates the date of manufacture and the consumer must add an average of 10 to 12 months to this date to obtain the minimum durability date.
In fact, the actual date of purchase should be available on your invoice.
