The thumb does not seem to be heated and the power is too low. We buy heated gloves to keep our hands warm. The battery recharge is a bit tedious. For 200€, I hoped to be impressed. This is not the case.

Big downside with the carrier who did not deliver properly. Upon checking the shipping tracking, I noticed that I had to contact the carrier because there was an issue with my package. In order to try to best address your questions, we would like to explain our scientific and technical approach. The innovation of the heated glove relies on a technical process: the incorporation of a heating system within the glove's textile and on a fine understanding of the thermophysiology of the hand. It is this combination of knowledge of thermophysiology and technological innovation that allows us to best address the issue of combating the cold with a heated glove.
Your hands are a zone of constant heat exchange between your body (which maintains a constant temperature of 37°C) and the outside environment (which is by definition extremely variable). When exposed to the cold, in order to protect its constant temperature of 37°C, your body will reduce its heat loss to the outside. This results in a decrease in the temperature of your skin, particularly marked at your extremities (feet, hands, face). This drop in temperature will lead to numbness in your fingers and pain. These pains can persist even when your fingers warm up (the phenomenon of frostbite).
The heated glove developed by Racer aims to limit these undesirable phenomena.
Regardless of the heated glove you have:
• The design of the heating system follows the anatomical areas of interest (areas rich in thermal receptors and vascular zones).
• The heating system has been designed to provide an optimal temperature (warm enough for a comfortable feeling, not too hot to avoid burns)
• Depending on your setting, the heating system (1 and 2 bars = physiological monitoring of skin temperature, 3 bars = continuous heating) allows for an adjustment of heating intensity.
• The heating time is less than 180 seconds to achieve a gain of more than 10°C when you turn on your glove.
• We implement a specific and complete safety control at all levels: material, software, and textile, to ensure maximum safety of the system.
The Racer range of heated gloves and mittens adapts to different environmental conditions.
It is important to choose your heated glove based on your use and the environmental conditions (temperature, wind) where you will use it.
Finally, it is important to follow usage rules:
• Choose your glove well based on the use you make of it
• When exposed to the cold (negative temperature or a combination of low temperature and wind), it is imperative to avoid cooling your fingers initially and then putting on your gloves. A real disaster! First contact on October 27, 2021 with customer service, one of my gloves is damaged, I asked twice if it was possible to exchange the defective glove and I never got a response. I returned the complete pair on November 29, I was told it was not repairable, I asked again if it was possible to buy a glove: no response, I requested the return on December 6, on December 26 I still received nothing, I followed up by phone and my pair of gloves was returned to me on December 27… 2 months to process this case!!!

Heated gloves purchased in November 2018 used 3 months in the year (50 km/day 4 days/week). In 2019 when I resumed using the gloves in November, batteries dead (used 3 months in 2018). The product is very good and meets my expectations, especially for the possibility of adding a second battery and extending the heat duration.
The only downside concerns the return policy. I had to return a product because I ordered the wrong size and I found out that the return shipping was entirely at my expense. Normally in online purchases, the return is at the seller's expense. I spent 28 euros to send the product back by mail. On this aspect, I think Race needs to review its commercial policy.
