Hello, We discussed your package, it has been at a pickup point for a long time, a bit further away than expected, due to the carrier's negligence. That is why we made a commercial gesture. You planned to pick it up before September 3, the date it will be returned to us. I am a customer in the UK & buy this rum very often from the EU, however this is the first time ever I was charged duties & taxes which are the same amount as the rum, doubling the price! UK customers beware, Rhum Attitude are not registered with UK authorities so Royal Mail will force you to pay tax before delivery, despite this consignment being less than the €144 limit on personal imports. I was going to return the consignment but this product is very difficult to find anywhere this side of the Atlantic.....

Thank you for your order. When you place an order you do not pay French VAT but we indicate that you will have to pay UK duties. Unfortunately, we have found that the UK customs are quite often wrong in the amount they claim from our customers, but we cannot do anything about it. We are seriously considering stopping shipments to the UK because of this. In the meantime, you can always refuse the package, which also costs us a round trip but which we offer in these cases.
