Beautiful tablet a bit heavy but not tested yet

All other instrument suppliers included a sun cover. You do not list it as an addition option. Also there should be a choice of extension lead lengths, the ones provided are no where near long enough to get to the nav table. I have had to buy additional lengths.

After direct contact with the company has taken place, everything is now fine.

I would still like some information regarding the battery life. Contrary to the specification, the battery lasts about 15-20 hours during navigation (according to the manufacturer's specification, it should last about twice as long).

They were able to add to my order to save me shipping cost.

Had to buy a second battery at almost $200.00 because bright screen pulls too on the much battery. You can't charge the battery without the tablet. Not the best for sailing in bright daylight. Recommend a couple of cheaper tablets for redundancy.

I highly recommend. The seriousness and competence of this company is no longer to be demonstrated.

The very first startup is long, it's a bit stressful. But after that, the tablet is totally in line with what one could hope for: good screen visibility, super practical strap on the back, great confidence in protection against shocks and humidity (even if I haven't really dared to test it yet!). The only downside is the sound, but we didn't buy this tablet for that.

I do take some responsibility myself, in that I didnt realise my order was being shipped from outside the UK meaning I had import charges over £200! My parcel was held in customs and they didnt release it until I provided proof of my purchase , I was threatened with daily storage charges and import tax. I contacted Sailproof for advise as I thought it was a scam at first. After 2 emails ( this is the only means of contact) I had no response. This left me very stressed and in the meantime charges were incurring on storage by UPS. I thought at this stage it was a problem that needed to be resolved by Sailproof as UPS advised me they had put the incorrect cost on the items enclosed in the package. The item cost me over £200 ! More than expected and Sailproof need not respond or care. I had no choice to pay the ever increasing charges than to otherwise loose £900 on the original order. I will never use them again.. I am appalled at their non communication.

The tablet was delivered quickly and has a very robust impression. The display is very bright, but it reflects a lot. This is certainly a real disadvantage in direct sunlight. Therefore, one star deduction.

Product conforms to the description. The only downside is the delivery method. Since I was not home when the delivery person came, they threw the package over the neighbor's gate. Fortunately, no one stole it and the tablet seems to be fine (apparently). Delivery to a pickup point would be preferable...

Generally content but still uncertain that the charger I ordered alongside this is necessary. It would have been useful to be given more information as to what is included within the iPad pack.

So far I am pleases with my new tablet. The shopping experience was pretty standard and the communication from SailProof acceptable. My one regret was in not researching the total cost more. For importing this tablet into the the United States, I found out too late that there is a $260 customs fee that must be paid because we have an idiot for a president. OUCH!

My experience with the SailProof team has been great... both before I purchased the tablet and then after placing the order. I had a few questions as I was considering this product versus a traditional MFD, and they were answered promptly and professionally. This really made a difference in the overall experience and of course, my decision. There is no doubt that this is a serious company making serious products for sailors. I have yet to get out on the water, but the build quality is exceptional, and to be certain, this is not just a repackaged Android tablet but rather a purpose-built solution for the challenges of a harsh marine environment. I am looking forward to a great summer of sailing and using the SailProof tablet. Thanks.
