I would like to provide you with answers on several points: - Battery operation only: Yes, I confirm that this is possible, no doubt about it, the plate is made for it and many of our customers use it this way. The autonomy is even excellent with a lifespan of about 18 months. However, I can confirm that the battery-powered plate will only deliver a dry contact (this is clearly indicated on the product sheet). If you want to trigger a latch that is not powered itself, then you must necessarily provide a power supply since the batteries (6v) will be too weak. On batteries, only a motorized gate or an element with its own power supply can be controlled. Sorry if there was confusion on this point. - The light that stays on and the need to cut the power This is typically related to a power supply that is too weak, you need at least 2A and sometimes up to 5A depending on the latch you want to control. Without this, the plate goes into fault mode to signal the error. Nothing very serious, just adapt the power supply transformer used and the problem will be solved.
