I purchased this item to use as a 'Drive Alert' rather than a PIR Alarm. Consequently, many of its very flexible features were not applicable for my use. The unit seems to be very well designed and the method of installation well thought out. Although I have as yet only limited experience of the unit in action, it is working reliably and satisfactorily in most aspects. The only caveat is that the chime alert sound is rather weak and it is surprising that on such a unit with plenty of flexibility, no provision has been made to allow for the differing levels of sound that different people/locations will require - additionally, it would be useful if the mute facility was more easily accessible, either by a bigger button or a remote control.

They are help over the phone - I should have phoned them first as I had a less than standard requirement. If you have issues with buildings etc the PROTECT 800 seems to work anywhere.

Purchased the GSM PIR alarm and very pleased with it. Good instructions and pre-programmed. Bonus of a £7 credit on the sim which was unexpected. Only thing I did not like was that the PIR mounting was not able to lock the sensor in one position and wold move easily. Technical report was excellent.

The commercial documentation mentions that you can register 3 phone numbers, whereas in power outage detection mode you can only register one. After 2 days of service, I received a message indicating a battery level (new!) below 30%. Generally, this product (made in China) does not really inspire confidence.

Hello, Sorry for all these inconveniences. Regarding the documentation, I did indeed find the mentioned misunderstanding. It is true that these specifications are shared between different kits and sheets, the "3 numbers" are correct in case of an alarm (if you use the device for that) but only one SMS concerning the power failure/restoration. This is very well indicated in the descriptive sheet (from the first paragraph). Sorry for the possible confusion, I will ask my colleague to modify it to make it more evident for future customers. Regarding the "batteries < 30%" alert, from my experience such a message appears if the new batteries used are not lithium. Did you receive orange or silver-colored batteries? The error could come from there. Alkaline batteries are not suitable and the device calculates a wrong voltage (hence the received message). In any case, this is obviously not normal, we will make the necessary exchange. Please excuse us for the inconvenience. This device is of French design (although assembled in China, indeed, for a competitive cost), extensive tests have been carried out to have the best product for our customers. Unfortunately, errors can occur (batteries sent, description that can be clearer) even if we try our best not to make any. The most important thing for us is our presence before and after the sale so as not to abandon a customer along the way. Sorry if you feel this disappointment, I fully understand your point of view. Know that we are here to answer your questions and help you in all these steps, we always have alternative solutions to offer so that you are satisfied. And, as a last resort, you have 30 days to get a refund, so in principle, no risk of disappointment! I will ask a technician to call you back to see all the details with you.
