This site offers quality products. I opted for a Dakota passage detector, with receiver and beeper. The devices are easy to set up, thanks to the instructions provided in French, and also to a particularly competent customer service. The detection distance is totally effective up to 15 m if well placed. Vehicles do not always trigger the system, even at slow speed. This is not very serious if the goal is to alert in case of human intrusion in a large private space without direct visibility or when one is inside premises. Beware of birds if the device is placed in a nesting box: you need to avoid them having the possibility to perch nearby, but they can still temporarily grip the edge of the hole and trigger it. But if the device triggers at night, it is unlikely to be the same visitors, so it is a minor inconvenience. In any case, with a beeper that can be carried in addition to a chime with not unpleasant musicality at all, the whole is discreet and works over 200 m through walls without any problem.
