We regret the inconveniences experienced and ask you to accept our sincere apologies for this situation. In accordance with our General Terms and Conditions of Sale article 16 - Customer Service and our presentation Who are we? our offices are open from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. At this stage, here is what we can tell you about this bottle: it was delivered to our warehouse at the beginning of December 2023 directly from our supplier, official distributor Jean-Paul Gaultier, the items that are still for sale on 1000parfums.ch all belong to the same batch, this is the only remark received to date regarding this reference. The batch number allows us to determine the production date by the brand: 2023/08/04, the bottle is therefore 6 months and 22 days old today. The shelf life of perfumes depends on a period after opening and a production date. The estimated usage duration for alcohol-based products is up to 5 years and often longer. On the other hand, a hermetically sealed perfume can retain its scent and potency for years. However, the color of the perfume changes. It should not be concluded that its fragrance is disturbed: the perfume continues to live as its raw material always evolves. The perfumeries you have already contacted could provide you with these initial elements... The very stable environment of our warehouse is perfectly suited for storing our merchandise as the temperature and lighting are controlled. Given the information provided, it is impossible for us to determine with certainty the origin of this type of incident which remains quite exceptional. During the bottling of the bottle, was the cap improperly closed or was the safety closure of the sprayer not airtight which led to oxidation of the perfume juice? The liquid becomes darker and cloudy and the scent also alters, losing its fragrance and giving off a more alcoholic aroma. To perform a control of the bottle, you will find attached a return slip as well as a barcode for shipping, allowing you to return the perfume in its original packaging. We invite you to reuse the cardboard received and complete if necessary the padding so that the bottle reaches us in perfect condition. Upon receipt of the bottle, our team will carry out a first inspection and if necessary it will be forwarded to the brand's control service. In this case, it will take about fifteen days before we can communicate the conclusions of the various parties involved. Of course, if the problem is confirmed we will proceed with the replacement at no additional cost.
