Orange and black R26 bike received 10 days ago. Well packaged and protected in the shipping box. The various screws necessary for assembling the handlebars and front wheel are pre-greased, a sign of seriousness and care taken in preparing the order. The paint on the frame is very nice, the gradient between orange and black is very beautiful. The child (10 years old) is delighted after riding about forty kilometers. The bike is agile and responds well when the child pushes on the pedals. A small detail that could be improved: the rear derailleur cable is visible at the rear arm of the frame, it should be continuous to better protect the cable and ensure better sliding in the sheath over time.

I had already bought the 14-inch, lightweight, balanced geometry, a treat for my little one. The 16-inch is in the same vein. Quick question, how do you advise us to maintain the chain guard in the form of a belt mounted directly on the chain? I imagine the chain gets dirty anyway, do we need to remove everything to clean the chain properly? No documentation on the internet, any idea for a YouTube video for you?
Regarding the chain guard, please note that it allows your Bemoov's chain to require very little maintenance. However, if you need to clean or lubricate it, you must first remove the rear plastic piece (located on the sprocket), then the front plastic piece (located on the chainring). To do this, you need to loosen the two bolts securing the rear wheel. By then pushing the rear tire slightly forward, you will reduce the tension on the chain, and the two plastic pieces can be pushed inward and removed more easily (Caution: these pieces can break under excessive force. Act delicately). After removing these intermediate pieces, you can easily access the chain and lubricate it if necessary.
In case of difficulty or complete removal of the chain guard, you should have it done by a mechanic in a specialized workshop, as special tools are required to remove the various clips.
