This is not the first time I order from you, the order is easy to make, and especially the delivery times and exchanges have generally been efficient. I have no opinion on the products, I haven't tried them yet in situation.

Everything went fine until my gloves broke almost immediately in training. I emailed the seller and they never responded.

Hello Mika. We are very sorry, both that you did not get a reply and for the issue with the gloves. We did indeed have a system issue over the summer that did not notify us of incoming messages sent through the website. I have just, thanks to your review, seen the message (which I am pasting below for reference). This is clearly a manufacturing defect and is not occurring on the vast majority of this style of glove we have sold since 2017. I will gladly either replace the gloves with a new pair from our next batch, or refund the gloves to you. Please let me know which you prefer. Overall, I am satisfied with the product and the responsiveness of the team while they manufactured and shipped the products. I rated this 4 stars rather than 5 because the production time was about 4-6 weeks, but I am overall OK with that because Black Armoury managed my expectations along the way. They were honest about the delivery time and responded quickly to my email inquiry, sent around 4 weeks after the purchase. I would recommend this company and I would by from them again.

I placed my order on the 28th of December 2022. After months of querying and promises of “next week”, and automated “out of the office this week” replies, it eventually dispatched on the 18th of May 2023. The product itself is excellent, but the service from the retailer was less than satisfactory.

The ordering process was very straight forward and easy to understand. The quality of the product is very good and it certainly meets the expectations regarding its function. Sadly the problems detailed below lower the aesthetics of the product overall a bit.

At the time I placed the order I didn't realize that the helmet was backordered. And I don't think that it was all that obvious on the site that it was backordered. So the resulting wait was not nice. But if I had ordered it from a US distributer I would have only gotten it a week or two earlier. And at the time the exchange rate was very good for me so it was a good deal. Communication was also a bit of a problem, but I understand that they were going through a staff shakeup, or some such. So OK. Overall, not a terrible experience, but not a 5.

2 people on customer service : the manager was very good, but the employee was not very professionnal, though sympathetic. Delivery seems to have been triggered because I phoned them. However good experience and good service overall. Would buy again if needed.

So the products are good, phone support was good, resolutions to problems are decent... The biggest problem was bad communication: they had some value chain issues due to the was in Ukraine. Cool. But could we all get an e-mail ? I've waited for more than 2 months for a reply to an e-mail, tried hinting about the situation on Facebook, had to call twice to get to support. It wasn't easy to figure out what's up with my order. Support was good, we fixed everything fast and the products are what i expected. I just wish communication was better and i have a better overview of what's up with the stuff i ordered.

I Ordered the Items 1 month before a tournament, so that i could use them at the tournament but the Ordered pieces didnt arrive in time, When i tried to contact black armoury about the status of my order it was very difficult to reach them ( I had paid in advance so info about the order was important to me). when the pieces finaly arrived they where in good condition. black armoury left a note in the parcel that they would give me a slight refund for my trouble, so i wrote them and gave them the relevant information 3 times, but again i havent heard back from them and have not gotten the promised refund even 2 months after the order finaly arrived. because of all those problems i cant leave a good review, but the products themselves are very good.

Lost my order in the system and didn't respond to emails for several months. Had to go through the manufacturer before I had a response from the company. Once contact was made, response was quick but experience was frustrating and not their usual standard

Black Armoury offers very good products and the customer service is impeccable. The only big problem is the delays, every order I placed at BA arrived with a lot of delays, and they were only shipped after a phone follow-up. Personally, I will not order from BA again, but if the delays don't scare you, don't hesitate.

They're a good provider of HEMA gear, be it protections or weapons simulators, with a rather large choice for more than just longsword. What their customer support lacks in response time (which can absolutely be forgiven in current pandemic era) they absolutely make up for in their care to satisfy customers. Haven't hesitated to order again, and recommend them to my club mates.
