We are sensitive to your remark regarding our soaps.
For now, we have indeed chosen to keep palm oil in the formula of our soaps for the following reasons:
- We prefer to use this 100% vegetable oil, where some soaps are formulated from animal fats
- We have selected a sustainable palm oil, certified RSPO which helps limit the impact on cultivation. It is currently the most eco-responsible solution. This certification ensures the traceability of each liter of palm oil used. It also aims to curb the anarchic development of palm oil plantations.
- Palm oil is excellent for the skin: nourishing and emollient; it also allows the soap to lather better and last longer.
To date, if we had to replace the global consumption of palm oil with another vegetable oil, it would be an ecological disaster because palm oil is the oil that has the best yield: only 1 hectare of field to obtain 3.3 tons of oil vs 8 hectares for soybean oil for example.
We remain extremely vigilant about any qualitative and responsible substitute that could soon replace palm oil.
We hope to have clarified our choice and remain naturally at your complete disposal on the subject.

The Abbey of Sénanque and its Cistercian community are a haven of peace and spirituality in Provence. An extraordinary place! The monks of Sénanque work in the lavender fields, the olive grove, etc. The result: excellent products from this monastic craftsmanship: I particularly appreciate the olive oil, solid or liquid lavender soaps, lavender toilet water...
