With over 40% of its formula made up of natural patchouli from Indonesia, it's hard to imagine this fragrance not smelling like patchouli. People who wear this fragrance generally love it for its main note of earthy, woody patchouli, but we can hear that you might be more aware of the few floral notes that round out its composition, Cathy. That's the beauty of perfume: we're all sensitive to different things in the same fragrance! Too bad you didn't order our Discovery Pack to avoid this disappointment. Some eaux de toilette may last longer on your skin than other eaux de parfum, just as an eau de parfum may suit you better and last longer on you than a pure/perfume extract/essence. On the one hand, this depends on the perfume's formula (its ingredients and concentration), but it also depends a great deal on your skin! While some fragrances in our collection are designed to be rather discreet and confidential (musk or alõ, for example), others offer a beautiful trail and a long afterglow. However, it's important to remember that a fragrance can react, smell or hold up differently from one person to another, as the way it holds up depends very much on the wearer's skin. Don't hesitate to perfume your clothes, on which the fragrance will last longer, or opt for a pure perfume, which will be even more concentrated and therefore more intense than eau de parfum. Beware, too, of temporary loss of smell caused by allergies or viruses, or a change of cosmetic product in your routine, for example.
