Our musk eau de parfum is a fragrance made to be discreet, as indicated on its sheet. It is not a perfume designed to be powerful and leave a significant trail; it is rather intended for people who enjoy confidential scents. As for their longevity, one must never forget that the same perfume can last more or less long from one person to another: there is no truth, hence the importance of testing a fragrance on your skin before falling for a bottle. It's a pity you didn't start with the purchase of our Discovery Pack, which includes samples of all our eau de parfums, allowing you to try them out calmly before deciding. We are also disappointed that you did not find your happiness among our Marjorie perfumes, however, it seems essential to us to be very clear on one point: we have the chance and the willingness to create original perfumes, which resemble only ours, and we never take inspiration from those of our colleagues. Thank you for this feedback Patricia, we are relieved to read that you love our perfumes. Allow us just to complete the end of your review: "the perfume doesn't last... on my skin". As explained to other curious noses before you who did not have the expected longevity, if our perfumes did not last, we would have closed shop a long time ago. We can never say it enough: the longevity of a perfume can vary from one person to another, depending on our skin and its evolution over time, the cosmetic products used... or passing viruses that can also play nasty tricks on our senses! We are also the first to admit that our samples are equipped with a roll-on that is less practical than a spray for dosing and distributing the perfume. This may also explain this impression of lightness, which could disappear with your bottle as it is equipped with a spray (whether it is a bottle of eau de parfum, or pure perfume which is even more concentrated, therefore more intense if needed). In any case, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for having the curiosity to try our perfumes, we hope you find your happiness with our fellow perfumers! Maxime

Indeed, the pure perfume is even more concentrated than the eau de parfum, so if you like intense versions, this may be the suitable format for you. Just one thing to help you in your choice: the eau de parfum is often more than sufficient in terms of longevity/power for most fans of ippi patchouli, but I must admit that our samples, which are equipped with an ear touch (and not a spray), do not always allow for proper dosing or distribution of the perfume, and thus to get a real idea of the longevity. Thank you for having the curiosity to test ippi patchouli and the rest of our collection with the Charlotte Discovery Pack! We would have preferred it to be a love at first scent, but sometimes it takes a little time to fully discover a fragrance. Because the formula of ippi patchouli is made up of over 40% natural patchouli from Indonesia: it is generally the ingredient that stands out the most, along with tuberose, but the beauty and complexity of the fragrance mean that we all have a different perception of a scent. You are not the only one to notice the sweet note of this fragrance, while if you ask me for my opinion, for example, I don't particularly sense it (rather in ippi patchouli light with its praline note). In short, the important thing is to keep a curious nose; you will find your happiness among the beautiful creations of our colleagues... or ours to come, I hope :) All the best for the future! Feel free to perfume your clothes, on which the scent will last longer, or to opt for a pure perfume that will be even more concentrated and therefore more intense than eau de parfum. Also, be aware of temporary loss of smell caused by allergies or viruses, or a change in cosmetic products in your routine, for example. Finally, I concede that our samples come with a dabber which is less practical than a spray for dosing and distributing the perfume. With over 40% of its formula made up of natural patchouli from Indonesia, it's hard to imagine this fragrance not smelling like patchouli. People who wear this fragrance generally love it for its main note of earthy, woody patchouli, but we can hear that you might be more aware of the few floral notes that round out its composition, Cathy. That's the beauty of perfume: we're all sensitive to different things in the same fragrance! Too bad you didn't order our Discovery Pack to avoid this disappointment. We can never guarantee how long a Corinne perfume will last, as it depends very much on the wearer's skin. If an eau de parfum from our collection doesn't last long enough on you, don't hesitate to try its pur parfum version, which is even more concentrated in raw materials (and therefore even more intense) and should last longer on your skin!

Thank you Christine for sharing your experience and I'm sorry to read that our perfumes don't suit you completely. It's possible that our perfume doesn't hold up well enough on you, but I guarantee that it holds up very well on the vast majority of our customers, otherwise it wouldn't have been our iconic fragrance for over 36 years. The staying power of a fragrance can vary from one person to another, depending on our skin. Perhaps the "pur parfum" version would suit you better? Note that the formulas of our 3 fragrances built around patchouli (ippi patchouli, ippi patchouli clair and kilim) contain over 40% natural patchouli from Indonesia: so it's not fair to say that this fragrance doesn't smell of patchouli. On the other hand, we can hear that it doesn't match your interpretation of patchouli, which has been influenced by all the patchouli fragrances you've ever loved, themselves containing patchouli, but not only.
