Concerning our ippi patchouli perfume, it has not changed but the explanation is surely elsewhere! With time, and the more we wear a perfume, our brain has a tendency to "fall asleep": as it gets used to a smell, we have the impression of not smelling our perfume anymore (or less). We can also have the impression that it has changed, because the brain then makes the effort to discover other ingredients and other notes of the perfume, less obvious to perceive at first. To fight against this natural phenomenon that affects us all after wearing the same perfume for a long time, we advise you to either change perfume for a few weeks/months to better find the smell of ippi patchouli (this would be an opportunity to test the sunny ippi patchouli CLAIR which is perfect for summer) or to switch to a higher concentration with the pure ippi patchouli perfume (the same smell but more concentrated and therefore more intense). Note that if you choose the second solution, you may find the same addiction concerns after a while... I hope this feedback will help you to better understand the origin of your problem and I'll see you soon!

Our chypre fragrance "ïōdé" is also available in pure perfume, so if you like the smell but are looking for more power and afterglow (i.e. staying power on the skin), you should try this format. Be careful though: the afterglow also depends on the skin: each skin is different and will diffuse the same fragrance for a longer or shorter time. The persistence of a perfume, i.e. how long it stays on the skin, depends on several factors: its formula (some perfumes are created to be powerful and others to be discreet), its concentration in raw materials (an eau de toilette is less concentrated than an eau de parfum, and an eau de parfum less concentrated than a pure perfume for example) and above all your skin (on two different skins, the same perfume will be diffused more or less powerfully and some notes will stand out more than others). As explained in our phone conversation today, it is very difficult to compare perfumes between them Corinne: your perception of the smell of patchouli may be quite different from others because you have your own references, and the perfumes you know do not only contain patchouli, but also other ingredients that give each perfume its own identity. Our ippi patchouli honors the earthy, woody, and resinous aspect of this ingredient in a rather raw scent, imagined in 1988 in honor of the hippie generation. If it doesn't suit you, we're very sorry, but be careful with the words you use because we can confirm that our ippi patchouli fragrance does contain patchouli: a natural patchouli from Indonesia to be precise. Maybe you will find more of the patchouli scent you like in our kilim or ippi patchouli clair fragrances, you can try them with our Discovery Pack if you are curious.
