I ordered the Certano lapsteel. Shipping was fairly quick. The item packed immaculately. It came in a beautiful, nicely made gig back with my name in the tag window. Nice touch. The lapsteel itself is gorgeous! Very nicely made, clean lines and no frills. It's very workman like which is what I prefer. Inside the gig back it came with a nice quality slide bar and Allen wrenches for adjusting the benders. If you're looking for a well made, great sounding and functional lapsteel, I highly recommend this one. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars is that when I ordered it the website said my order was completed and that was it. I had to email David to ask about shipping details. His response was quick and we had great communication. I just feel that after a customer orders something they should be informed up front as to the shipping details right away. Just my opinion.

Hi...Well I had to pay duty and tax coming into Canada...but the Bender arrived early. I looked at some online instruction for installation and things went smoothly and I am very pleased at the craftsmanship of your product...I have been playing my Fender Esquire with the Bender installed every day and am surprised at the possible ways to use this item...takes a bit of learning but I really like your Bender and it looks great on my guitar. Website design and navigation good. Good descriptions. Not much detail on the site about the pickup, though. Needs more demos of the steel. David was quick to respond to emails.

I have looked at other benders and was not impressed by their design and workmanship. My father was a machinist and when I opened the box I knew he would have been as pleased as I was ! Great craftsmanship. The Certano bender is very easy to install. I got the bender and the bridge set for my Recording King lap steel. I have no tuning problems when using these benders. I am very happy with the product.

I had received his hand crafted Certano CL-1 from his shop in France to my home on Cape Cod USA in just 2 days. It is the BEST lap steel with all hand built quality parts. It is extremely resonant and remains in tune....a beautiful instrument that you will treasure playing onstage or in the recording studio.

I changed over my lap steel from C6 tuning to Open D and installed the Bender and bridge this week. The process was very easy and I love the way it sounds now.
