Companies that do everything to perfection in terms of product design and quality, useable documentation, customer service and prompt delivery are very rare. Certano is an exception -- David Certano accomplishes all of these things and more. The fit and finish of the string Benders and roller bridge I received for a couple of lap steel guitars are – well, perfect! Kudos to an outstanding company -- Certano.

I changed over my lap steel from C6 tuning to Open D and installed the Bender and bridge this week. The process was very easy and I love the way it sounds now. This is a beautiful, well-built lap steel with high-quality components. It came set up perfectly and sounds fantastic. Including a personalized gig bag and a tone bar was a nice touch. Well done. I highly recommend this lap steel.

I recently bought a Palm Bender “Le carré LOW” for my Tele and I am very happy with it. Shipping was fast and installation was simple. I had to cut down the edge of the ashtray-style bridge to allow the B & G strings to pass through, but that was easy with a Dremel tool. The bender is very well made and works well. Tuning is stable and easy to adjust on stage without tools. It's going to take a while to get the hang of using it while coordinating picking and pressing either, or both, levers.

Shipped quickly, parts are of good quality, installation was easy, and reference material was very useful to installation. Sounds great!

A solid product that is well-built and well-designed. There must be a better way to line up the bender to the bridge to the ashtray. It certainly feels like you're voiding all warranties when you're grinding the ashtray (if required) to accommodate a channel for the strings to reach the bender and when you're trying to line everything up to predrill the two mounting screws. This isn't a criticism of the bender, but it was my experience. Once installed, it works beautifully and is very easy to adjust. I'm very pleased overall. The Certano is far more attractive, IMHO, than other bender designs. While I see the appeal of a hip or a strap bender in terms of the wiggle-while-you-play expression, the palm bender means you can comfortably play sitting down and without a strap. It also allows for playing on your lap if that's where you wanna go with it. After a few weeks of playing, I am still smiling and loving it. I'd encourage anyone to try one out if you're looking for something new.

This plays effortlessly and is a pleasure to play. I ended up loving the pickup more the. I thought. It can be smooth and can growl when I need it. And the best thing… no broken strings.
