Excessively high customs fees

Response from Chapellerie Traclet
Hello
when purchasing outside the EU, the French VAT of 20% is exempt but you will have to pay import taxes for Switzerland. These fees are inherent to each country.
Otherwise, we can also deliver to France by remaining post or relay point so that you only pay VAT in France without shipping costs to Switzerland and import taxes.

Errors in your services I ordered size 62 and received size 56

Response from Chapellerie Traclet
Hello
according to the invoice and the order confirmation we received, the order was for the following hat:
T1 Bucket Hat Natural - Tilley - Size: 56 cm
Reference number: THE ICON T1 NATURAL
85.00 €
Therefore, the error does not come from us as the invoice and the order confirmation that was sent to you by email within a minute of your order; it clearly indicates a size 56 CM.
It is of course possible to change the size if this is not the one you want.

Quite a significant choice.
Too bad your prices are significantly higher than your competitors for the same product.

The hat is great, but ..... delivery time not respected because out of stock (which I can understand), however no email to notify of this shortage, no alert, if we do not return to the site to check the tracking we know nothing. What is the point of forcing people to create an account in this case. Anyway, an effort on communication would be great!!!

Choice in references, products matching the description and quality, prices not prohibitive, fast shipping. Occasional appearances of products for women while the 'man' filter is activated, but that's a detail. Good site, very satisfied.

Good selection but unfortunately not for small heads, little choice for head sizes -54cm. With 2 cork reducers and some DIY it can be arranged but it spoils the pleasure a bit at delivery.

I do not like at all the wide cotton chin strap that I received. It is way too wide and unesthetic. I ordered instead a round lace in nylon paracord from Crazylace.

Response from Chapellerie Traclet
Hello
The chin strap mounted on all Tilley hats since their creation in the 80s.
If this one does not suit you, we also offer other models.
We are of course at your disposal to offer you others.

For this price, we could have done better. Among other things, protecting the edges of Phrygian hats with embroidery could be.

In relation to the price, I find that the finish is really not up to par, the gold-colored buckle must have been spray-painted and the person put their fingers on it before it dried, so there are fingerprints on the buckle, also the velvet around the cap is really poorly placed

A bit big, my size is between the existing ones. No interior space - sewn edges - to pass a cork band. A bit complicated, the cap does not tighten the head.
