Hello, Yes it is never easy to measure to find the right slider or the right casing-sleeve. A tip is to refer to the original product, to your broken slider or to your bottom stop. Check if there is a number written on it. If for example on the original slider you have a number '5' then you also need a size 5 slider from us. You just need to determine the material of the teeth of your zipper. In any case, customer service is there to help you and guide you to the right products. Order of a slider for leather jacket.
Do not recommend model 5A, but direct customers to model 8A which is the standard for this type of closure, especially since the measuring ruler to edit is not very accurate and can be misleading. That being said, very fast service, reduced shipping costs.
