I'm French, and proud of it. Cock-a-doodle-doo! I'm also a collector of French folding knives... So, Laguiole, I know it well. My knives sit in a display case. I just look at them, the wood has a soft, warm, even carnal look... Having traveled a bit, I've always praised Laguiole, but I only use my knives to open the mail! I pamper them. Your site is a bit cluttered. I'd like it to be more instinctive. As for the rest, everything's been perfect, with one drawback: the PDO! It's distressing to receive "Laguiole" as gifts with foie gras... Unfortunately, we can't rewrite history. So, long live the real knives, the ones we can only be very proud of. Happy cutting!

Well-designed site.

This is the third time I've ordered from La Yole.com. This time I placed the order from my smartphone: I have to say that the process was a little more complicated and I found it much less easy to visualize the different models and, above all, the options.
It was possible to change the billing address for a birthday present, but this address was not registered (no doubt thanks to a false move on my part...). I therefore had to phone them on the spot and I must say that the welcome was perfect and that all the changes were made so that my order was in line with my wishes. The delivery time was very, very fast (two days). So I'm as satisfied as ever.

Difficult to navigate and impossible to order, but the helpdesk made up for it. In the end, I was satisfied thanks to the helpdesk and, above all, the quality of the product.

Site a bit confusing, hence my rating of "only" 4 stars. And I would have liked more choice: type of wood, corkscrew... etc.

The site is incomplete. I had to call the craftsman to find out the delivery time. Good contact. Competent and sympathetic help for a problem with collissimo delivery (my fault). Beautiful knife.

The site is quite well designed. The only small criticism would be to have an indication of the product in stock or to be manufactured. It's nowhere to be found. I was surprised to learn, after paying for my order, that it would take 8 days to manufacture. I received my knife about 10 days later.

Satisfied with the product, you can clearly see the quality and attention paid to the product!

I put average because the preparation time is not indicated: I ordered express delivery in the hope that the recipient would receive his gift quickly before his departure; unfortunately the preparation time of the order was one week. As a result, the parcel arrived after the recipient's departure, and it will be several weeks before she is able to discover it on her return, which was not the intention. I would have appreciated information on how long it would take to prepare the order, so that I could adjust and plan accordingly. Apart from that, no comments on the products, which are always very good.

I wanted some nice steak knives and started searching. I came across some nice knives but nothing that really caught my eye, until I went to a chef ran restaurant where all of his dinner wear has a story. He brought me a knife to cut the duck and it was an old knife with a bee on it. I really liked the knife and how it felt. I ended up doing research and found that it was from France and those knives had a history. I found that Jean Dubost and Layole make the knives. The Jean Dubost knives had a lot of ABS plastic and I really liked the Layole options better but the site scared me, but I went for it anyway. Ordering straight from the factory was nice, tracking information was provided quickly, and they showed up quickly, and I'm in the US.
I ordered two of the wide horn handle Laguiole steak knives. They are sharp, weight feels great, heavy on the handle side which is nice, I wear xl gloves and I’m glad I got the wide handle, perfect.
There are what appears to be tooling marks on both of my bees, and a very little gap in the spine of the handles. Wish the bees were in better shape, but it is what it is I guess. The gap in the spine is hardly noticeable.
All in all, I love them and would order them again, hopefully the bees will be better next time, or I guess next time I’ll have to go to the factory! I’m glad I found something that was made by a smaller company with a pretty long history, and not made in China!

The navigation on the homepage takes some getting used to", the order and delivery worked perfectly (thx). In addition to the delivery options offered, delivery via DHL should be possible. For the price, the pocket knife parts ordered are unbeatable.

The site is good, but it would be even better to choose all the stages of the knife.

I had a doubt once I'd finished all the stages of choosing the blade, the handle material, etc., that I wouldn't be able to see the finished knife. But when I received the knife, I was happy to see that I really like it and that it suits me.
