hello, i received a kit with a guilloche blade and nowhere does it appear on the ad. i ordered the Phillips bit for stainless steel screws and this one is not suitable because even when drilling at 2.1 in Ebony the heads do not hold. disappointed for the price.

As for the rest of your comments, I don't quite understand the analogy you're making between the Phillips bit and drilling ...., as the Phillips bit has nothing to do with drilling ....; lastly, our kits are not delivered with ebony wood (so you'll have to check the quality of your wood??); and above all, I'd like to inform you and confirm that, in our workshops, we do drill ebony wood using 2.1 .... bits. Finishing ok, knife received quickly but: - need to sharpen the knife as soon as I receive it... !
- On the site, the "chiseling by hand" is transformed into chiseling with a grinder on the invoice...
- the forged bee is made with a press and the excess metal is rather badly removed - the knife closes badly Nevertheless the final finish is very good except for the bee... but a few points need to be revised, for less than 230 euros I would have hoped to have chiselled with a chisel ??!!! As indicated on the site, and a better-finished bee.
My opinion is mixed, but it's still a very nice object, and I hope it helps you.

I find it a little disappointing for a company such as LAGUIOLE HONORÉ DURANT, not to have a well-made knife for everyday use for a price of around 130 euros (I bought a knife with a slight defect, a poorly-fitting bolster and a few traces of dirt on the handle), which begs the question: what's the point of buying a knife from certain professional cutlers when a chinoiserie can do the job for everyday use? My companion is happy with his knife. The only negative point is that the carbon blade (steel in fact) rusts, and I didn't know that. It's not clearly indicated on the site. Had I known, I would have ordered a stainless steel blade for 7€ more. As a result, he can't use it for every meal. It's a shame.
