Rather disappointed... The knife itself is beautiful. Dark horn, forged bee stainless steel bolsters. But my eye was quickly drawn to an anomaly that seems to have escaped quality control.<br />The tip of the blade, is either badly forged, or badly ground when sharpened. This makes it look like it's been used as a lever...(I know this isn't the case)<br />It's a present for my son's 18th birthday. I'm not going to return it as we live in Quebec and delivery has already cost enough.<br />But for my other sons, I'll look elsewhere.

Knife presentation disappointment: Very satisfied with the speed with which the order was processed.<br />Very nice knife.<br />Very satisfied with the telephone reception and the information given<br />but although it had been planned to deliver the knife in a box and the possibility of having a free case with the Christmas offer, the knife was delivered in a case (basic) and for a prestige knife it was not adapted, lacking elegance.<br />Hence our disappointment (me the children who offered the knife to their father). Too bad.<br />Cordially.

Original product, but lacks a minimum of finish, even for a DIY enthusiast. Contrary to the presentation photo, the wooden handle is not worked at all.<br />The packaging is not suitable for a gift. A box would have been better than a simple plastic sleeve.

Very poor quality: the bolsters are welded any way they can be, there's a 5/10 gap between the bolster and the lock. The top of the blade is rough, as is the spring.<br />Even a laguiole made in china is better finished.<br />Buying in kit form should not be synonymous with buying M...E in kit form!!!
