Very nice finish, a Laguiole worthy of the name, the only thing that bothered me is at the level of the handle which is made of light horn but one side is gray and the other side is more brown, but it's just a small detail that doesn't take away from the very nice quality and finish. This shows that in France we still have very good craftsmen and exceptional know-how.

Hello Mr. Letzelter, I would like to put things in their context; just after the purchase, you called us to demand that we send you the invoice corresponding to your purchase; we tried to explain to you that we were doing this on the day of the shipment of the package but you needed it right away; in the face of your frantic insistence, we therefore sent you an invoice; where it clearly stated, and thus before shipment, that you had ordered a set of two knives. After receiving the package, you called us insulting us and calling us thieves; we offered you to return the set, which you were supposed to do but to this day we still have not received it back; we explained to you that it was you who had chosen and selected the option of a set of two knives, you did not want to hear anything; this after numerous threats of various kinds from you including recording the phone conversation; we could only reiterate the fact that you should return the set and that it would then be refunded immediately; after various insults and name-calling you hung up on us; this while you wanted to speak to our management and it was them you had on the line; we are not used to and we are not here to be insulted for 15 minutes on the phone. Best wishes and glad that the set meets your expectations and that you have certainly noticed that the error came from you since we have not received it back to this day (02.02.2026; package delivered on 15.01.2026). Sincerely.

Very good quality workmanship. I just find that the blade lacks "edge" compared to the one I own from La Forge...but I'll be delighted to visit your cutlery. As far as delivery is concerned, the parcel leaves your premises in Brive, goes up to Paris and then down to Valence...ecology? But we have a good tracking system. Sincerely

The Chronopost delivery was disastrous: a change of relay point 45 minutes from the initial address. I was unable to have the parcel re-delivered or reconciled. I was therefore unable to receive my parcel. Very bad experience. Awaiting refund. Total dissatisfaction.

Hello David P., thank you for your review and rating; however, we state this very clearly on the product sheet for this item: "The 8 cm handle length Laguiole knife is distinguished by its very small size". This is very visible on the product sheet, and even "very small size" is bolded. We also make it clear that we're talking about handle sizes for our knives. All this being said, you can send the knife back to us if you wish, and we'll refund you or give you a credit note, as you wish (despite the fact that the knife is engraved and therefore personalized). The knife was delivered on time and it looks very nice, the engraving on the handle is also very beautiful. I can't comment on the quality as it was a gift and I'm not familiar with knives. The only thing to criticize is that the parcel was simply left on my doorstep and not delivered to the parcel store as I had requested. With a knife costing just under €300, it would have been really stupid if it had been lost or stolen on the doorstep.
