Rather disappointed... The knife itself is beautiful. Dark horn, forged bee stainless steel bolsters. But my eye was quickly drawn to an anomaly that seems to have escaped quality control.<br />The tip of the blade, is either badly forged, or badly ground when sharpened. This makes it look like it's been used as a lever...(I know this isn't the case)<br />It's a present for my son's 18th birthday. I'm not going to return it as we live in Quebec and delivery has already cost enough.<br />But for my other sons, I'll look elsewhere.

I wanted a pocket knife that matched a cheese knife I'd already bought, but I didn't like the one on the site, which was too plain.<br />So I explained what I wanted and they took me photos of another handle that matched what I wanted.<br />I've just received it and I'm happy with the result.<br />We have already bought 3 cheese knives for us and our children and a pocket knife for my husband in June 2004.<br />The blade of my husband's knife broke 2 years ago and was replaced free of charge.<br />I recommend Honoré Durand cutlery<br />I hope this new knife will give me complete satisfaction.<br />Thank you<br />Anne Marie and Yannick

Exceptional: I am really delighted with the quality and customer service available. I ordered my knife online, but unfortunately it wasn't what I'd imagined. I was given advice and they really took the time to explain things to me. I've just received my new knife and it's perfect! Just as I imagined! Really very professional, pleasant and very competent. I could describe the knife as an engraving and the craftsmen as master craftsmen.

Fearless efficiency, bravo: I know the point of sale on the spot and the team bends over backwards to inform you and serve you, and I found the same efficiency by mail order, a little phone call to ask for precision on the color of wood, a person listening inquires if the specificity is available positive response, I fill out my order via a small insert (it arrives at the end you must be patient) and the Laguiole (Layole 😉) arrived very quickly just as I wanted. <br />A big thank you to you this knife will make the happiness of the 12 years of my daughter in a few days

Authenticity, humility and friendliness. I don't know the quality of "La Forge" products, but I've visited Christophe Durand's facilities several times. The website is very well done, and keeps you in touch with this superb company. When you see master craftsmen like Jean-Michel Cayron sharpening your knife in the Laguiole store, these people know how to maintain a certain humility and a contact whose essence is nothing other than passion. Go and see them! And you'll be able to touch the real thing!
