No contact with customer service who didn't even get back to me. My referral code didn't work, I was told to wait to order, but the promotions were ending that same evening, so I ordered without my referral code. I sent an email of dissatisfaction and was replied with 'too bad for you' basically... not even a commercial gesture, not even a vanilla pod as compensation or anything. I am very disappointed and now I will order my vanilla elsewhere. Too disappointed with customer service
We have checked and the referral code works fine. When creating your account, it was not entered.

Quite mixed regarding the problem encountered, which in the end was resolved by pushing me a bit to place a new order. Next time will be better.
This time I am disappointed, I ordered 10 saffron pistils and was told there was a stock shortage. I immediately made myself known and was refunded. How can there be a shortage when the order is validated and paid for? Moreover, I incurred shipping costs for two (I had made a large order at the beginning of January) items that I had taken as an accompaniment and which I did not need immediately.
So far, my orders have gone well. I haven't used all the products but I am satisfied with those I have already used. The packaging is a bag that could be improved because it's not obvious to transfer spices like vanilla powder into your small containers. Depending on the powdered spice, a good part remains stuck to the bag or is retained by the closing 'clip'. On the other hand, 3/5 because the navigation on the site needs to be reviewed. The promotion pop-up that appears after a few seconds on each page is really, really very annoying! I had already reported this during an order but nothing has changed. From an IT point of view, it doesn't take 107 years to change this behavior. We had the ad once, that's enough! No need to see it appear on all the other pages. At most, display a small square or a discreet banner with the promo info but not a pop-up on every page.
You are right and we are working on it with a new solution starting March 2024.
What seems simple is not always so obvious on certain modules 😉

I sent an email regarding my order because the two curry sachets were poorly packaged and spilled in the box. I did not receive a response.
Satisfied with the products but disappointed with the packaging.

Hello, We had seen many positive reviews so we decided to order. We ordered 100 pods, the pods are very well packed in airtight bags. They have a lot of seeds but I am disappointed because in cakes, desserts we do not feel the taste of vanilla, it's really a shame because that's all that gives flavor in desserts.
I had an issue regarding a discount voucher, I was contacted and told that I would be called back because the person had to check with David, but since then, no news, it's not cool for a company that claims to be close to its customers. But well, that's life.

Order of spices was perfect. Order of "Lake Victoria" vanilla pods of very poor quality. The pods are small, very sparsely filled, and extremely dry... I am totally disappointed... I had ordered with a promo code from a YouTuber and I won’t make the mistake of ordering vanilla again.

Meanwhile, 10 pods with this strong promotion at €6.99 is ridiculous. It is clearly stated to rehydrate the pods in a bit of alcohol to double or even triple in volume.

Vanilla received quickly. Good cheap price. But pods are very dry. Must put them in a large jar with a bit of liquid (rum) to rehydrate the vanilla and give it some flavor. A bit disappointed.

Fast shipping and super packaging.
Complete order but one bag of ground coriander was torn, little loss of powder and the quality still seems good so no follow-up needed.
Still haven't received my order after 1 month (the other orders went well?). That's why I'm giving 2 stars for this order.
Delivery on December 1, 2023, everything is perfect as always except for a packet of genmaicha tea with a best before date of 31/12/2023. Even if it's 'preferably before', it's a gift for Christmas and it's a bit awkward. The person who will receive it might think I've had this at home for ages... In any case, I think this product has been in stock for some time at David Vanille, (all other products have dates ranging from December 2024 to December 2026...) I hope this is an error and that it won't happen again because the products received so far have always been of excellent quality.

Very interesting prices, especially on vanillas, but regarding what I ordered, the aromatic is much less powerful than a 'standard' vanilla found in supermarkets, you should know that. Also, the infusion time differs on the label and on the site, I was surprised the first time with my tea which was undrinkable. A bit disappointed also with the smoked pepper. However, delivery was very fast and careful!
The site is ergonomic, it is pleasant to navigate and very nice to find advice and recipes. If I have a complaint, it is the lack of transparency. Among the mixed spices (curry, marinade or barbecue mixes...) the composition is sometimes very vague 'spices'. It's a shame, especially for allergic people who need to be careful.
The tea packaging is not practical at all. Previously, the bags were resealable, now an order of 100g of tea is dispatched in 4 bags that cannot be preserved once opened. The vanilla has no taste, I am very disappointed, I don't think I will order again.

The products are of very good quality. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed that the two main products I wanted to order were suddenly no longer available. In these circumstances, I would have preferred to cancel the entire order or add similar products. Unfortunately, I was only informed after the package was shipped. For the missing products, I was refunded quickly but now I still do not have the products I wanted and will have to pay for shipping again. I was very disappointed. It would be better to inform people before shipping an incomplete order!

Hello, During my last order, I received a bag where all the vanilla pods were moldy. I reported it, but no response since. I am a bit disappointed not to have had a response from you. I am considering not placing new orders with you.
On the December order, it is clearly stated on the package to "take the pods out of the sachet and put them in a base of alcohol". It was about fresh vanilla from the last harvest and it is essential to follow this advice to preserve them.

I unfortunately have to give these 2 stars, nothing to say about the site for the perfect order, however I never received my package, it was in transit through France to arrive in Belgium to be sent back to the sender without passing by my place... When you are eagerly waiting for your products and they do not arrive, it is not normal.
Prices have increased much more than inflation... curry, for example, has seen an increase of over 500% in 1 year, oregano nearly 600%... I will no longer order from this site...
I bought red vanilla on sale and I think I know why it was cheaper: it was not very fresh, probably from last year's harvest and has been in a vacuum envelope since (much less good preservation than in rum). It breaks easily, and has little powder and therefore little taste even when infused for a long time. That said, at this price, it's understandable. On my next order, I will check the harvest date from the country in question and will order just after. I will leave a more favorable review if this future attempt is successful. The other spices are good, but be careful with the toxic Tonka bean quite quickly, it deserves to be specified!!
Not all pods are equal, some are really too thin and too dry. The price is correct compared to the quality.
Disappointing after-sales service. No discussion possible following a delivery problem! Order delivered for them but where? The postman marked it as delivered but he made a mistake with the address!! I had to search for my package myself! Yes it was delivered but elsewhere! You need to change service providers! But your customers are not responsible for YOUR delivery choices. So a lost customer... But maybe you can afford it.
Still no vacuum sealing of the vanilla bags. Disappointment from my last order.
