The products are good but when you send an email or SMS if you need information, never any response, which justifies my rating.
The Bourbon Vanilla variety you sell is of poor quality, For proof, I made a pastry cream (300 mm of milk infused with a whole pod) the taste is almost non-existent? Cream for Baba same.....? For a Pastry companion, I know what good vanilla is without having traveled the world but the Tour de France. Looking forward to your comments.... Awaiting your response
You purchased the "Prestige" Split Red Bourbon Vanilla. The pods have been in a trunk for a long time and offer an aromatic precision and a higher vanillin content than most pods you buy elsewhere. See the description of the sheet which is very clear:

The weight of a pod does not determine its quality at all. You weigh as a professional a water content.
At our level, in the importation of vanilla, after years in the industry, here are the most important points:
- Vanillin content (main molecule for purely vanilla notes)
- Associated aromatic amplitude On this batch: Intense bouquet of red fruits (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, currants) Heart Notes: Caramelized intensity, Rose, Vanilla powder.
- Harvest period
- Aging of the batch, respect for the specifications specific to each importer (here, long traditional aging as in the past).
- Nutrients from the soil from which the pods come, indigenous terroir, type of cultivation (shade, agroforestry, intensive...)
- Final result in the creations of our chef and individual clients.
Finally, the vanilla that the industry buys to create vanilla extract is only split or unsplit red vanilla. Like us, it focuses on the quality of the batch and not on the visual. Today, 90% of imports in the agri-food sector remain red vanilla for the quality of its aromatic contents (yet dry but much more intense).
You will need to rethink your view of vanilla and become a novice again to move forward.

Disappointed not to have received the order I placed... it took two months to be refunded and despite that, I placed another one (this one) obviously the advantageous prices of vanilla were no longer current. A commercial gesture (gift) was made but still, I remain disappointed after years of hassle-free purchases.

I work for the Méert house in Lille, whose specialty is the vanilla-filled waffle from Madagascar. I was looking for an alternative vanilla pod to produce an even higher-end waffle. I wanted to test the Pompona vanilla. To my surprise, I received a very small and dried pod! Not at all in line with the photos and information I could obtain about this product, which was only exceptional in price. Very very disappointed!
If you had taken the time to contact our customer service, we could have responded to your request. If you read our title: "Vanilla Pompona Schiede Sèche" and the descriptive sheet, you would have understood the refinement of this pod. When we work with large houses, chefs, and palaces on R&D projects, we necessarily have a call, especially if it's for the biggest sale of this house.
This vanilla is extremely rare, we only have a few units left. How to make thousands of waffles without a base of several hundred kg of vanilla per year?

The quality of the pods is really superb but I was given damaged pods torn at the top I find that really not normal Especially when we talk about rare vanilla from Sao Tomé or Papua New Guinea the cream of the tribes

Website not up to par, errors in cumulative calculations for gifts and the cart does not appear in full on the screen. You cannot correct when you made a mistake and want to delete.
Second order and beautiful disappointment. Nothing to say about the products. However, I was charged for shipping fees even though I had intentionally exceeded the minimum. And the gift (given the amount of the order) that was supposed to be saffron turned out to be wood band. Very disappointed.. I had indicated that I was being charged shipping fees but no response. Too bad.
Your product total (excluding promotion) was €64.29 and €6.90 for shipping fees.
Therefore, the saffron was not offered because the total was not €69, nor the shipping fees.
We have just refunded the shipping fees to your card. A box of saffron will be graciously offered to you with your next order. You will need to leave a message for David for this gesture.

I am disappointed with this second order the vanilla pods are dry
Always happy so far with my purchases at David Vanilla, big disappointment with my last order, one item is missing (forgetfulness?) I contact customer service from the site, not a word of apology or anything just a proposal for a refund or sending in my next order, I must say that the nice note in the package 'order treated as if it were for a friend... etc...' is not quite in line with the customer service response, sending my box of saffron in a simple letter would have been enough to fully satisfy me and I find it somewhat normal to send the missing item when ordering for 50 euros on the site. But apparently that corresponds to 'the specifications'. I wish all customers not to experience my disappointment. However, nothing to complain about, I was refunded but I would have really preferred a commercial gesture in the sense of simply sending me the initially ordered item that was not in the package.
Hello, the products are of good quality. However, the order service is not responsive at all, see the messages just after my order.
Still very satisfied with the quality of the spices. However, the quality of customer service needs improvement. Indeed, during my last order on October 18, there was a small error. I wanted to report it. Unfortunately, after 2 emails and 1 SMS sent, still no response...
I couldn't change the quantity so I had to order two packets instead of one
I find the shipping costs too expensive, I would prefer containers other than plastic, small stainless steel boxes for example.

Very well organized site. Delivery a bit long but notified. Great packaging. No issues with transport.
The box was well adapted for delivery, that’s the only negative point.
I could have given a 'very good' if the delivery hadn't taken forever due to La Poste sending the package to the wrong destination. It's a shame to pay for fast delivery that ultimately took more than a week to reach me.
Hello. During my order, I left a message asking if you could package the vanilla pods, which I bought by 50, in lots of 10, as it was for a gift. It was not done, but in addition, I did not receive a message regarding the reason. I then sent you an email but received no response either, sniff sniff.
Arrival the week after the scheduled one, I had to organize myself because I was leaving so disappointed 6 days instead of three changes everything. what mill for the pepper selim impossible to grind bye
Order on Friday 23. Sent on Wednesday 28 following the stock clearance (stated when selecting the carrier).

Haven't tasted all the vanillas ordered yet. I will not order from this site again and I will not recommend it to friends. Because I don't like false promises like: you will get vanilla as a gift (but which is not in the package) And when you talk to David about it, he tells you to ask for it on the next order. So, no more orders

15 pods are size 14-16cm
5 pods are size 10-13cm

Order received quickly, however some pods were broken or opened. Some very dry.

I was missing a product in the package.
We only received 18 pods instead of 20 which is not a big deal in itself. I was less pleased with David Vanille's reaction to this error: not a word of apology and simply we will add 2 to the next order.
We count the pods twice before shipping and sent a photo of the number of pods sent at departure. Even though we were surprised, we offered to send you 2 additional pods.
Our customer service responded quickly to your request.
