For the punch, we usually make it in a hollow at the back of one of the discs, or sometimes on the ring that holds the hook (we try to make it as discreet as possible).

Disappointed with the poorly finished ring: you can see the dents probably caused by the blow to round it off, and the solder joints are too visible.
