On the other hand, when disassembling, you must wait until your pipe is completely cold to avoid damaging it. Additionally, we recommend always turning the stem in the same direction, as if it were screwed, and positioning your hands close to the joint (between the stem and the pipe). In Saint-Claude, our master pipe maker noted that your pipe was particularly dirty in the stem. Not having been cleaned regularly, the fluff was 'stuck' by the tars inside the stem and that is why it detached from the stem.
