In the end, I was misled because several models in carbon finish were offered at the same time and some did not have the option to add a filter. So I was looking for a model with a filter; and I ended up with a pipe without a filter that I ultimately cannot use. Since I wanted a model with a filter! Very very disappointed, the straight Saint-Claude pipe I received is not the right one. The length from end to end is only 10.5 cm and the bowl is 1.09 cm. While I wanted a length of 12 cm and a bowl of 2.02 cm. I hope you will take this into account. Hoping for a response from you for a possible arrangement. The delivery time is really too long. Absolutely negative, no after-sales service for warranty or repair, €150 thrown away for nothing and a pipe unusable 4 days after receipt (It burned the filter and all the inside in bakelite. I thought Saint Claude was a specialty of pipes but be careful before ordering by mail from this company. No need to ask me anything else in the future, work on after-sales service.

Following our previous exchanges by phone and upon receipt of your package, we confirmed that your pipe overheated too much, which caused the wood to literally burn. When using a new pipe, it is imperative to perform a slow and delicate charring to create a protective carbon layer inside the bowl. Generally, it should always be possible to hold the pipe in hand without it being uncomfortable. If you feel that the pipe is hot, you should let it extinguish and cool down before relighting it. According to our general sales conditions, your pipe cannot benefit from the warranty as it is not a manufacturing defect but rather clumsy use. Briar pipes with a bowl lined with meerschaum can be a good solution as meerschaum better protects the wood from heat. Therefore, the briar is unlikely to get damaged even if you draw too hard. We remain at your disposal if you need further clarification.
