To remove the stem of your pipe, you first have to hold the pipe with one hand on the shank and the other on the stem, so that they are as close as possible to the junction between both parts (shank and stem). Then, you can turn the stem on itself (always in the same direction) as if it was screwed to the shank, while slightly pulling it at the same time to remove it. Please be careful to stay in the axis so as not to damage the shank and the tenon of your pipe. We also remind you that it is necessary to clean your pipe with the appropriate pipe-cleaners after each tobacco tasting. Over time, a dirty pipe will get clogged because of tar, and it will therefore be difficult to remove the stem.
